Conference Tours: Osaka and Kyoto

We are pleased to offer our delegates several events outside of the conference in order to experience the wonders of Japan and to better know their fellow delegates. There is a tour in Osaka before the conference and another in Kyoto the day after. Our day walking tours involve travel to and from the different destinations by public transport (train and subway). Please refer to the information below for complete details and pricing. Delegates can register for the conference and each event individually or any combination they wish.

NB Friends and family of conference delegates are also welcome to attend the conference dinner and tours, and you can add attendance at additional dinners or tours by adding to your cart before checking out.

FAQ

How can I pay the conference registration fees?

You are invited to pay the conference registration fees, by choosing from the following options:

1) You may pay by PayPal now online using a credit card. Please choose the PayPal option below.

Please enter your full name in English, and, if you are a presenter of an accepted proposal, then please enter your four digit submission reference number. This is located in your official letter of acceptance. If you are an audience member, then please write "audience". Hit the 'Add to cart'' button(s) below to select the option(s), before then clicking on the 'view my cart' and proceeding to 'check out' through PayPal's secure site.

2) You may pay by the registration fees by bank transfer, although this takes longer and involves more expense. Please choose the bank transfer option below. Please include in the notes on the bank transfer 'ABMC 2013', your full name, and, if you are a presenter, your four digit submission reference number. This is located in your official letter of acceptance. If you are not a presenter then please leave this blank.

I need an invoice

If you require an invoice, please contact invoice@iafor.org, with "ABMC 2013 Invoice Request" in the subject, stating the amount, your name, and submission reference number if applicable, and we will provide you with an invoice. We can also provide invoices in other major currencies.

I need a receipt

At the time of the conference, you will be provided with a receipt for the registration along with a certificate of attendance and participation. In the meantime, your PayPal Receipt will serve as an official receipt of payment. If you pay by bank transfer, then your receipt from the bank, once confirmed by IAFOR, will serve this role.

Can I get a refund?

Please note that if you need to cancel your registration for whatever reason, you must do so in writing by October 15 2013, by mailing abmc@iafor.org. Registration cancellation before this time will result in the issuance of a refund, subject to a JPY 10,000 service fee. Refunds will not be given after this date. Requests for refunds for optional extras purchased separately from registration (conference dinner and tours) must similarly be made by October 15, 2013 and will be subject to a JPY 1,000 service fee. Refunds for optional extras will not be given after this date.

Optional Events

You may purchase optional extras separately at any time before the conference. If you wish to cancel attendance at one of the optional extras, you must do so by October 15 2013 by writing to conferences@iafor.org. Cancellations are subject to a JPY 1,000 service fee.

Friends and family of conference attendees are welcome to attend the conference dinner, and may join either the Osaka or Kyoto tour. Please note that attendance on the tours and at the conference dinner is restricted to adults

OPTION 2: PAY BY BANK TRANSER

For both domestic and international bank transfers, the local bank charges for the remittance are to be paid by the registrant.

International bank transfers are subject to an additional 5,000 yen fee per transfer to cover intermediary bank charges, so add 5,000 JPY to any registration fee or package.

IMPORTANT: So we may easily identify your payment when we receive it, please send a scanned copy of the bank transfer receipt to conferences@iafor.org.

We will send you confirmation as soon as we have received the official receipt from the bank. For international bank transfers it can take more than a week for the remittance to be received so please be patient.
